Every website we build is custom-designed for each client, so prices vary according to complexity and scale.

If you are a Local Mind Association, we offer a free website template which you can customise and manage in-house. For full details, visit our Local Mind websites page.

A new website can take between 3-12 weeks to design and build. It all depends on the scale, requested functionality and input involved.

The biggest determining factor is how long it takes a client to deliver website content. Swift delivery of approved content will guarantee the quickest turnaround of your website project.

Don’t worry, your website will not be built until you have approved the design. We create an accurate mock-up which can be refined until you are happy to progress to the build stage.

All of our projects are undertaken remotely. Initial consultation, key meetings and CMS training are done via video call. After that, email is our preferred medium to keep track of requests, comments or changes etc. and if needed we video call.

We are happy to do a face-to-face meeting if you prefer. Travel and accommodation expenses apply.

Yes, we offer an all-inclusive managed hosting and support package. This can be tailored to suit your needs and budget. For full details, visit our Hosting and Support page.

Yes. Your website comes with a Content Management System (CMS). This enables you to customise and update your website in-house. We will also give you a free CMS training session to get you set-up.

Once you have approved your website design, we take a 50% deposit.

Please note that the website build does not get underway until all text and visual content has been delivered and / or approved by the client.

Once the website build has started, we will send an invoice for the remaining 50% which should be paid within 30 days.  By this point the website will have been completed or significant progress been made.

This payment schedule is place to ensure timely delivery of approved content. In our experience, content delivery can take longer than most clients expect.

If you are a Local Mind Association or other charitable organisation, we are able to make alternative payment arrangements.  Please contact us to discuss.

Our websites are completely responsive as standard. So you can be assured that your website will look great on all devices – from desktops, through to laptops, tablets and mobiles.

Yes, all websites need to have hosting – you are required to rent a space on the internet. Without hosting, nobody can visit or view your website.

We offer a range of hosting options and can suggest the best option to suit your needs. Visit our Hosting and Support page for more info.

We can register your chosen domain name on your behalf, so you retain ownership of it. All domain names need to be renewed yearly.

We will register the domain when we are building your website and pay for the first year. Thereafter, we will re-new the domain as necessary and add the cost to your annual hosting invoice.

Not at all, our clients come from across the UK and from every sector imaginable. As with most web-based companies, we work remotely so distance is not an issue. The vast majority of our work comes via recommendation or endorsement and that is the key factor for clients when they commission a project with us.

Yes we can do that easily, if you want a new design using the existing content. In most cases, we can convert and transfer the content into a new WordPress template or custom design.

Your old site will remain live while we build your new website on our server. When it is ready to launch, your new site will go live in as little as 10-15 mins.

The Mind-branded template is offered for free on the basis that your site is securely hosted by C27 Media. We can then undertake the ongoing updates necessary to keep websites secure and trouble-free. Staying up-to-date with the latest technology and security patches is an essential part of website maintenance. We do not charge for these updates when you are hosted with us.

Better still, by remaining hosted with us you benefit from design and development updates to the template itself extending the longevity of your site. Our aim is to keep you up-to-date so you can avoid the expense of a new website in the future. New functionality is always being developed and refined and included in our latest Mind template. We encourage all our Mind clients to give us feedback. If you have an idea, just tell us and if it will benefit the Mind network we will include it in a future release at no extra cost

All these ongoing improvements are untaken in the background without detriment to the operation of your website.

We will help with any tweaking required to get your site looking great.

If your website has been custom-coded or built with older technology, direct conversion to WordPress may not be possible. In which case, the content would have to be transferred and updated manually.  We can provide advice on how best to do this, or we can undertake the work for you for an agreed fee.

However, if you require full managed hosting, maintenance and support, we can easily convert your website to a WordPress site. Whichever route you intend to take with your website build, we are happy to provide advice on your SEO options.

One of the first things we do when taking on new clients is to assess their in-house capabilities. More often than not, clients do not have an experienced web manager in-house. In which case, we provide training for the Content Management System to a designated staff member.

Even if the staff member takes to the CMS like a duck to water, there can be several pitfalls. For example:

  • Staff members have little time for site management as they are focussed on their primary role,
  • Staff and volunteers come and go – in which case website care becomes inconsistent and CMS re-training is required.
  • Lack of confidence – or too much of it – leading to an incoherent site that confuses and discourages visitors.
  • Ad hoc support requests outweighing the cost of an an-inclusive support package.

If you are a small business or charity the all-inclusive hosting and support package is often the simplest and most cost-effective option. Whether you require content updates, new pages or design changes, you can contact us at any time for help.

Having said that, the all-inclusive hosting and support option is also commissioned by clients with a dedicated website manager. Especially those with extensive multi-site resources to maintain.

Either way, our all-inclusive Hosting and Support packages are not one size fits all. We always aim to create a bespoke hosting and support package that suits your specific needs and budget.

You can find full details of our Hosting and Support options by clicking here – or simply call us to discuss a bespoke solution to meet your specific needs.

Firstly, we will create a project plan tailored to your unique website build. This will provide a clear road map of the process from start through to delivery.

We start by determining the structure of your website and creating a site map. The site map details all the essential pages in your site and how they are navigated. Also any special functionality or content required on specific pages (such as contact forms etc).

With your site map in hand, you can then start the next main stage – content compilation. If you are compiling your own content, we can provide a Content Creation Support Guide to help you through the process. When all the content is compiled, we can start building your new website.

Be assured, there is no need to feel daunted by any aspect of this – we are on hand to guide you through every stage of the process.
